Popeyes Has a Brand-New Sandwich That Both Truffle and Spicy Fans Will Love

Popeyes is getting fancy.

Members of the Popeyes fan club are about to have a new reason to jump for joy. Starting today, the fast-food chain's latest collaboration will be available in its restaurant locations across the U.S., as well as for delivery, and it's one both truffle fans and spice lovers will adore.

Popeye's iconic Chicken sandwich has put its fancy pants on for this one. The company has teamed up with Truff, a brand known for producing luxury condiments with a truffle twist. The result of this marriage is the Spicy Truff Chicken Sandwich, which brings together Popeyes' crisp Louisiana fried chicken sandwich with a delicious spicy mayo infused with black winter truffle, giving it some extra zhuzh. It also comes in a brioche bun and is topped with pickles. The new sandwich starts at $5.99

That's not all, though. The partnership also includes an entire Truff menu, featuring some of Popeye's most well-loved items brought to a new level with Truff's sassy sauce.

"Both Popeyes and TRUFF have reimagined our industries, and now we are coming together to challenge the status quo on the concept of 'fancy food,' but for every day," Sami Siddiqui, the president of Popeyes, shared in a statement provided to Food&Wine.  

If this somehow isn't enough for you, the fast-food restaurant chain is also encouraging creativity through its "Build Your Own" Truff menu via its website or app. There, you can tailor your order to add a side of Truff Spicy Mayo to pretty much anything.

And hey, what's a fancy collaboration without a fancy contest? Fans can also now enter the "So You Think You're Fancy?" TikTok contest, hosted with content creator Wisdom Kaye. Truff lovers can post a video on TikTok and tag #PopeyesContest to be entered to win a spot on Popeye'Yachtsteraunt, setting sail out of Miami in spring 2024. (Check out the contest rules here.)

"Our Chicken Sandwich pays homage to time-honored cooking techniques one would find at a fine-dining restaurant.
