Costco’s Massive 157-Piece Le Creuset Deal Is Breaking the Internet

Shopping at Costco is great, and I’m not just talking about the free samples. It has everything in bulk you could ever need, like tomatoes, toilet paper, and — wait a second — Le Creuset Cookware?

According to a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Costco is selling a 157-piece Le Creuset kitchen set for $4,499.99 and delivering it to your home on a pallet. While this price may seem high, if you use everything in the collection, it is actually a great deal (just $29 apiece). There’s just one problem: The internet is going bonkers over it, so much so that Costco’s site is 404ing on the deal. 

Maybe it’s a good thing. After all, do you really need that much Le Creuset? Hard to say. But you definitely need some Le Creuset, and we have some great picks. Of course, Le Creuset’s signature piece, which just so happens to be included in the 157-piece set, is its Dutch oven. Good news for you, you can still grab a 7.25-quart one on sale, and in the color of your choice. We think that this is the best Dutch oven, and love it even more with a discount. 

Classic Cast Iron Skillet

I’m actually not sure if this was even included in the set, but it should’ve been. The brand’s enameled cast iron skillet is essential, and the perfect pairing for a Dutch oven you already have or one you’re picking up. With a 9-inch diameter, it’s an excellent size for searing steak or whipping up eggs in the morning. 

Stoneware Rectangular Dish with Platter Lid

You can’t have all 157 pieces, but you can have two of them for just $100. This stoneware dish is perfect for the approaching holidays, and it has the added bonus of having a lid that doubles as a serving platter. I mean, what’s not to love here?

3.75-Quart Enameled Cast Iron Cassadou

Say you don’t want to go all in on a Dutch oven, that’s totally fair. What about grabbing this cassadou from the brand? Think of it as a saucepan that has an enameled cast iron coating. I personally would love to make some moules frites in this hearty 3.75-quart vessel. 

Utensil Crock

Every kitchen needs a solid utensil crock, and right now you can grab this Le Creuset pick for just $39. It doesn't come with all of the Le Creuset cooking tools you might’ve gotten from Costco’s offering, but did you really need those anyway? I say no, you just needed the utensil crock. 

Set of 4 Pasta Bowls

I recently added these pasta bowls to my home and I can’t stop talking about them. They are shallow but have a rim so sauce doesn’t slide off and onto the carpet, making them essentially foolproof plates (I’m the fool). I’ve actively tried to scratch them with a knife and fork and zip, zero, nada. See, I told you they were foolproof. 

French Press

In my opinion, the only piece that can even contend with Le Creuset’s Dutch oven is its French press. Made of stoneware, this is a durable vessel you’ll brew coffee in for years to come. Your kids might even use it to make French press brews, and their kids, too. Seriously, it’s just that good, and just that durable.
